Each summer, the School of Medicine provides a week-long Orientation and a White Coat Ceremony for incoming first-year students. Two or three rising second-year students will serve as orientation leaders for these two events.

Their tasks will include organizing specific events during Orientation, including providing two sessions; contacting and arranging session speakers and facilities; encouraging classmates to help with Orientation activities, the White Coat Ceremony and social activities; revising the Panacea; assisting with the organization of the White Coat Ceremony; and helping with white coat distribution at the ceremony.

This year’s Orientation will be July 27 –July 31, 2026. The White Coat Ceremony is currently scheduled for July 31, 2026. Tasks will require time commitment throughout May, June and July and full-time attendance and participation during the entire Orientation week and the White Coat Ceremony. The stipend is $1,230.
