  • Congratulations to Dr. Bradley Ferguson, who successfully completed his postdoctoral fellowship in our lab and has now joined the faculty in the Department of Health Psychology at University of Missouri

Fall 2019

  • Dr. Briana Kille successfully defended her dissertation and earned a Ph.D.! Congratulations to Briana on her accomplishment!

Fall 2018

  • Dr. Neetu Nair has successfully defended her dissertation and earned a Ph.D.! She will be staying on to do her postdoctoral training with Dr. Christine McCrae.

Spring 2018

  • Undergraduate student Christine Brunnert (mentored by Drs. Beversdorf and Ferguson) presented a poster titled, “The Relationship between Sensitivity to Environmental Stress and Gastrointestinal, Sensory, and Autism Spectrum Disorder Severity” at the Midwest Psychological Society conference in Chicago, IL.
  • Undergraduate student Shannon Famuliner (mentored by Drs. Beversdorf and Ferguson) presented a poster titled, “Associations between dietary composition and gastrointestinal symptoms in autism spectrum disorder” during the University of Missouri Life Sciences Week. Her poster won an Honorable Mention among Social and Behavioral Sciences posters at Life Sciences Week.
  • Dr. Beversdorf and the SFNC leadership organized the fourth annual Society for the Neuroscience of Creativity in Boston, MA, March 23, 2017
  • Undergraduate student Molly McBride was awarded a College of Arts & Sciences Undergraduate Scholarship for 2018-2019.
  • Undergraduate student Briann Sutton was chosen  as the junior class recipient of the 2018 General Education Program/Hesburgh Awards for Student Academic Achievement from the he TIAA-CREF Hesburgh Endowment Fund, an academic achievement scholarship to one student from each of the four undergraduate classes.
  • Dr. David Beversdorf received the Director of Graduate Studies Outstanding Contribution Award for 2018 from the Office of Graduate Studies for his role as Director of Graduate Studies for the Interdisciplinary Neuroscience Program.
