Two Orthopaedic Surgery Faculty Accepted into Fellows Program at Mizzou

Dr. Daniel London and Dr. Emily Leary have been accepted into the Early Career Research Development Fellows Program at Mizzou.

Dr. Daniel London and Dr. Emily Leary were both accepted the Early Career Research Development Fellows program at Mizzou this year. The three-year program is aimed at full-time, pre-tenure faculty who are seeking opportunities for strategic career planning and skill development in the area of academic research.

Dr. London is an assistant professor of orthopaedic surgery with an active hand and upper extremity surgical practice. His many research interests include patient-reported outcome measures, residency selection and procedural learning, and hand surgery. Dr. Leary is an assistant professor and the Director of Orthopaedic Biostatistics. Her areas of research include machine learning, Bayesian analysis and individualized prediction modeling.

Once accepted, fellows will be exposed to research development topics such development of a five-year research plan, early career grant opportunities and grant writing workshops, strategies for identifying funding opportunities and other educational resources.
