Anna Sullentrup, graduating senior and a student part of the TLRO team, received recognition through the Mizzou ’39 undergraduate award this year. The award is given out by the Mizzou Alumni Association Student Board, which recognizes 39 outstanding seniors each year.

Alumni are chosen to receive this award based on their academic achievement, leadership and service to Mizzou and the community. Dr. James Cook, Director for the TLRO, was also recognized as her adviser through this award.

Sullentrup, who has been with the TLRO over the past three and a half years, is part of the team assessing patient variability in osteoarthritis onset and progression by studying osteoarthritis-related biomarker production. Her work has been focused on evaluating the potential role of patient demographics and medication use in these areas.

“Through my experiences in the TLRO, I’ve learned so much about critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership,” Sullentrup said. “Most importantly, I’ve built relationships with mentors and fellow students who make the TLRO feel like home. This award is truly a reflection of how great these people are, and I owe so much to our awesome team!”

Congratulations, Anna!
