TLRO Director Named as the AAOS Member of the Month

James L. Cook, PhD, DVM, the William & Kathryn Allen Distinguished Chair in Orthopaedic Surgery, and Director of the Thompson Laboratory for Regenerative Orthopaedics was named the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) Member of the Month for November 2022.

As an affiliate member of the AAOS, Cook credits the academy with providing excellent clinical insight, application, and validation for translational research. It also allowed him to establish an international network of collaborators and colleagues, and serves as an excellent forum for peer-review, dissemination, and acceptance of the work done at the university. The AAOS recognizes a member each month in order to display the diverse accomplishments of its members, and as a way to connect with peers.
