Orthopaedic Surgeon to Accept Prestigious Research Award

Missouri Orthopaedic Institute surgeon Brett Crist, MD, will receive the 2023 Berton Rahn AO Research Award for his work and contribution within the field of orthopaedics at the 2023 eCM 21 Conference on Bone and Fracture Repair July 10-12 in Davos, Switzerland.

Crist is the director of the Orthopaedic Trauma Fellowship, professor of Orthopaedic Surgery, and division chief of Orthopaedic Trauma at University of Missouri Health Care.

As part of this recognition, Crist will present his research on Reamer-Irrigator Aspirator (RIA) versus Bone Marrow Aspirate Concentrate (BMC) as Orthobiologic Augments to Allografts at the conference. The award, through the AO Foundation and the AO Research Institute Davos (ARI), annually honors efforts made by investigators of AO Foundation funded research projects.
