MOI Annual Comparative Orthopaedics Day

21st Annual Comparative Orthopaedics Day at Missouri Orthopaedic Institute
Eight trainees, including PhD students, postdoctoral fellows, and residents presented at CO Day. Lft: Lasun Oladeji, Year 2 Resident Physician and PhD candidate. Middle: Melanie Boeyer, Postdoctoral Fellow. Rt: Blaine Manning, Year 3 Resident Physician.

Our 21st Annual Comparative Orthopaedics Day at Missouri Orthopaedic Institute held on April 16, 2021, was another outstanding event! Dr. Lewis Zirkle shared his work to create the SIGN Fracture Care International program during the Littlejohn Family keynote address titled “Creating Equality of Fracture Care Throughout the World.”

The keynote was followed by a series of faculty and trainee research presentations about Mizzou BioJoint, the MU Joint Health Program, biomarkers to identify hip dysplasia, vertebral body tethering, telehealth in clinical care, and physical therapy after lumbar spine surgery.

Due to Covid-19, many attendants watched presentations live via Zoom. Fortunately, Mrs. Marilyn Littlejohn was able to safely attend in person.
