MD-PhD program hosts 2026 APSA Midwest Regional Meeting

The University of Missouri School of Medicine MD-PhD Program hosted the 2026 American Physician Scientists Association (APSA) Midwest Regional Meeting on February 7. The event was a MD-PhD student-led initiative composed of scientific lectures, trainee presentations, poster sessions and career development-focused breakout sessions.

120 physician-scientists and trainees across the Midwest trekked to Columbia, Missouri, to share scientific discoveries, engage in mentorship and build a collaborative research community. Collectively, the MD-PhD trainees and physician-scientists’ work will continue to be the center of discovery, innovation and patient-centered care.

At the event, more than 60 student abstracts were submitted, and more than 50 posters presentations were evaluated by faculty judges. Congratulations to this year’s poster winners:
