Associate Director, MHA Executive Program

Clinical Instructor

David Moxley works to meet the challenges of the changing health care world.

A member of the University of Missouri faculty since 1998, Moxley serves as associate director of the MHA executive program in the Department of Health Sciences. In that role, he helps ensure that the nationally-recognized program runs smoothly — and that it continues to produce leaders who possess the knowledge, professional values and technological competence to guide the nation’s health care system into the future.

Moxley is skilled in information retrieval and learning technologies. He also has expertise in particular methods of organizing knowledge for subsequent retrieval, known as controlled vocabularies. These skills make Moxley well qualified to be director of education technologies for HMI, a position he has held since 1999. Moxley also teaches graduate courses in health management and informatics.

Additionally, Moxley has won several honors for his expertise, including having been a past fellow of the Interdisciplinary Center on Aging. He is a member of the Association of University Programs in Health Administration and a charter member of the Academy for Healthcare Improvement.
